The Peacock
The Peacock
The peacock has many symbols in many different cultures. In some it’s luck, in others it’s kindness and nobility. Lakshmi, Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity, is most associated with the peacock. In Native American cultures view the peacock as a symbol of dignity, wholeness, and beauty. To the buddhist, the peacock in every sense of the word signifies purity, hence why their feathers are often used in purification ceremonies. In Christianity the peacock became a symbol of rebirth. Among Ashkenazi Jews, the golden peacock is a symbol for joy and creativity, with quills from the bird's feathers being a metaphor for a writer's inspiration.
I could list them all, but I would just be listing all the virtues that people project on this mystical creature. If you see a peacock in the wild, it’s impossible to walk away. It is striking in every way and blatantly magnificent without question. That’s how I want you to feel about yourself. The peacock doesn’t realize how beautiful it is and I bet you don’t either. So realize it. You are magical like the peacock. This whole experience is. Pick any symbol of the peacock and place your intention onto your peacock earrings, may it bring you exactly what you need.
